Self Watering Planters
Self watering planters are great for variety of uses. On the patio or deck, you can have a planter that will yield an impressive display of flowers or vegetables, but don’t need the constant monitoring of a typical planter. The one weakness of most outdoor planters is that they quickly dry out, and in hot weather they might even need to be watered more than once a day. With a self watering planter, typically they have a built in water reservoir that will hold the water that is needed over time, but doesn’t add it directly to the soil as it would become waterlogged and do more damage than good for the plants. Great if you travel and can’t get to the planter to water every day.
Here are several self watering planters from a variety of retailers.
